Silver Stripe

Silverstripe is one of the tallest of the multiplexes, has a cold hardiness of 12 degrees farenheit, and a culm (cane) diameter of about 1-1.5 inches.  With a maximum height growth of 30 feet, its spring foliage is highly variegated, fading to mostly green through summer and fall.  Many of the canes' leaves also have beautiful silver striping.  Silverstripe is a very beautiful but underrated bamboo that is great for screening or as a specimen plant.
